As Christians, we are called to live with authority, to walk in the power that we have been given through Christ. Yet, many of us struggle to fully embrace our identity as powerful children of God. We often allow fear, doubt, and insecurity to hold us back from living the life that God has called us to. But what if we could learn how to tap into the power that is already within us? What if we could discover our true potential in Christ and live with the boldness and confidence that comes from knowing who we are?

Here we will explore what it means to live with authority as a Christian. We will examine the biblical foundations for our authority in Christ and discuss practical ways that we can begin to tap into this power in our everyday lives. We will also address common obstacles that can hinder our ability to live with authority and provide strategies for overcoming them. Whether you are a seasoned believer or a new Christian, this post will provide valuable insights and tools for discovering that authority.

1. Understanding your identity in Christ

One of the key components of this journey is understanding your identity in Christ. As a Christian, your identity is not defined by your past mistakes, your education, or your career success. Instead, your true identity is found in your relationship with Jesus Christ. When you accept Him as your Lord and Savior, you become a child of God, and your identity is rooted in His love and grace. Understanding your identity in Christ is crucial to living a life of authority and power, as it enables you to walk in the confidence and security of your true identity. Through Living with Authority, you will gain a deeper understanding of your identity in Christ and learn how to live a life of purpose and passion.

2. Embracing your spiritual authority

"Embracing your spiritual authority" is one of the key components of living a life of purpose and power in Christ. As believers, we have been given authority through Jesus Christ to overcome all obstacles and live victorious lives. This authority is not based on our own strength or abilities, but on the power of Christ that resides in us. To embrace your spiritual authority, it is important to first acknowledge your identity in Christ and the power that is available to you. This involves understanding and believing in the promises of God and the authority that has been given to us through the Holy Spirit. It also requires a willingness to submit to God's will and be obedient to His calling in our lives. By embracing our spiritual authority, we can walk in confidence and boldness, knowing that we have the power to overcome any challenge or adversity that comes our way.

3. Walking in confidence and courage

Walking in confidence and courage is a vital part of living with authority as a follower of Christ. The Bible is filled with examples of people who exemplified this, including David, Esther, and Paul. These individuals faced challenging situations, but they trusted in God and walked in confidence and courage, knowing that He was with them and would guide them. As Christians, we can also rely on God's strength and guidance to help us face difficult situations with confidence and courage. This means being bold in our faith, standing up for what is right, and walking in the fullness of the authority that God has given us. Through prayer, reading the Bible, and seeking God's guidance, we can develop steadfast confidence in God's ability to work through us and courage to face any challenges that come our way.

4. Pursuing your purpose and calling

One of the key elements of living with authority is discovering and pursuing your purpose and calling. As a Christian, you are called to fulfill a unique mission that has been specifically designed for you by God. This is not just a random task or job that you have stumbled upon, but rather a divine purpose that aligns with your unique gifts, talents, and passions. Pursuing your purpose and calling requires courage, faith, and an unwavering commitment to trusting God's plan for your life. It involves taking the time to reflect on your strengths, interests, and values, and seeking God's guidance and direction in discerning your purpose. Once you have identified your calling, it is important to take action and pursue it with passion and conviction, knowing that you are fulfilling God's plan for your life and making a positive impact in the world.

5. Impacting others through leadership

Leadership is not just about achieving personal success, it is also about using your influence to positively impact others. As a leader, you have the unique opportunity to inspire and motivate those around you to achieve their fullest potential. Whether you are leading a team at work, volunteering in your community, or serving in your church, your leadership can make a significant difference in the lives of those you serve. It is important to prioritize the development of strong relationships with your followers, providing them with guidance, support, and resources to help them succeed. By empowering and uplifting those around you, you can create a culture of growth and success that will benefit everyone involved. Remember, true leadership is not about being in charge, but about serving and empowering those under your authority.

We want to close by stating this: what a shame it will be, that Satan believes more about your power and authority in Christ than you do. It will be a travesty that the enemy knows about it more than you. He is scheming daily and constantly against you to deter and distract you away for your calling and purpose in life. Instead, he puts doubt, fear, and anxiety in front of you, so that you do not realize the power and authority that you already have in Christ. By stepping out and embracing your authority in Christ, you can live a life of purpose, confidence, and impact.
